China’s BYD to start selling electric cars in Japan next year


As part of the Chinese electric car manufacturer BYD’s efforts to consolidate its presence in the global market, it will enter the passenger car market in Japan, where it will start selling its battery-powered electric cars in Tokyo, starting next year 2023.

The famous BYD brand revealed, in a press conference, its intention to finally sell its battery-powered electric cars in Japan next year, in a very important step in entering the passenger car market in Japan.

The company said it plans to start selling a fully electric, battery-powered small car, called the ATTO 3, early next year, with two additional electric vehicle models to be launched later in 2023, as part of BYD’s current efforts to establish itself in the global market.

It is reported that BYD has already started selling electric vehicles and electric hybrids in markets around the world, such as Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Brazil, Costa Rica and Colombia.

In another context, BYD plans to produce 300,000 electric cars next August, in an important step to increase production in general, as it has more than 700,000 orders at the moment, which made it plans to establish new factories; to meet the desires of its customers.
